Single-stream recycling may be easier on the resident and less costly than hiring more employees for the hauling company, but fiber, (paper), recyclable products can become useless for recycling when they get wet. When I rinse anything that is going into the recycling bin, I make sure it is completely dry before I put it in with paper items in the bin, that way they are kept dry before the hauler picks them up.
