Top 5 Recycled Album Covers
By Trish Smith | October 16, 2012
Check out how old album covers can be transformed into amazingly creative products.
My latest music-related endeavor is to find out how people are recycling their old album covers. Granted, album covers are perfect for hanging on your wall to pay homage to your favorite musician, but there are so many other things that you can do with them!
Here are 5 of the coolest recycled album cover creations that I came across:
1. Led Zeppelin Recycled Album Cover Coasters

This cool coaster set featured on INOUDID's Attic Etsy shop is made with an original Led Zeppelin “In Through the Out Door” album cover and pieces of birch plywood.
2. Elvis Recycled Album Cover Handbag

This handy bag is made from an original Elvis album and is sold on AlbumCoverHandbags.com.
3. Upcycled Journal Album Cover into Notebook or Sketchbook-Frank Sinatra

Weezi sells this cute notebook on her Etsy online shop. It’s made with a gently used album cover that happens to feature Old Blue Eyes in his younger years.
4. Vinylux Recycled Album Cover Notecards

Most of these notecards featured on EarthLover are made from old 50s and 60s album covers. They each contain a blank sheet of recycled paper for writing.
5. Recycled Record Album Wallets

Apparently these wallets, made from actual album covers, were so popular that they sold out on UncommonGoods. But hey, they’re still awesome!
Also, here’s a very cool HGTV tutorial on how to make your very own recycled album cover tote.

Even though the world is being taken over by digital music, our old album covers can still live on through recycled creations!
