    Along with eating local in-season foods, my family preserves our summer harvest to eat throughout the year. Some of our crops such as green beans will last us until the following year's crop is ready for harvest.

    IN my family, we find EATING by the seasons saves money and has the added bonus of being good for Mother Earth , so we work hard to ennjoy the foods available to us locally within season.
