    4.5 tons of recycled paper is what very small tonage of what is actually disposed?? Federal law mandating recycling on every state, is long overdue--- and eventually will happen!

      Me too. With these figure though I do not understand why our city has stopped recycling. I know one reason is because people just do not take the time to pay attention to what their throwing in and to take the time to not send dirty waste with it. How hard is it to rinse something out. I do that all the time even before being told just to keep my recycle trash can from stinking so bad during the summer her in AZ

      Here they are stopping the collection of certain items marked as recyclable because there is little or no profit to it. The newspapers claim China is no longer paying as much for the items, so boating it over the ocean to them would be at a loss to the recycling company and they would go out of business.
