What is yard waste?
Grass clippings, raked leaves, and other “green waste” are biodegradeable and should be composted or used as mulch whenever possible, instead of sent to a landfill.
  • Trash from a backyard picnic or barbecue
  • Organic matter collected from garden or yard maintenance
  • Broken patio furniture
  • Litter that blows onto your lawn
