This week, a haunting little note appeared on our paper towel dispenser in the office bathroom reading, "You can use only one towel".
While I had seen the TEDx talk demonstrating how to use one paper towel, it wasn't until this message was put into my day-to-day context when I decided to take on the one towel challenge. (Seriously, seeing that note everyday…how could I not?)
While the friendly reminder was only in the workplace bathroom, the message stuck with me. With each paper towel I reached for, I was reminded - I can.
At first, saving a paper towel here and there seemed insignificant, but I quickly realized eliminating just one towel reduced the paper consumed to dry my hands by half. As they say, it's all the little things that add up, making a big difference.
So, are you ready to take on the challenge?
