Aluminum pie plates can go in the dishwasher. Washing it in the machine may discolor it but it will be clean and either reusable or able to be recycled.. If you want to retain the shiny color to reuse the item, you would need to wash it by hand.

Some useful I did not know, some weird, some silly. I question some using used foil, I ain't gonna clean the stuff. I question the garden one as I thought aluminum was toxic to plants.
Add some aluminum to this text to make it easier to read.

I am not going to scrub it clean, either, but if you put it in the sink along with your other washables and then leave it to dry, the cleaning process should be painless enough
